"Fishing Still Slow, But Ready to Break Wide Open"

Captain Lee Egan out of Riviera Beach on the Sea Horse Adventures ...tells AskYourCaptain ...All the Vermillion Snappers you can catch are available (can’t keep them). Muttons and Yellowtails have been almost non-existant. Earlier in the week, the Amberine and Kingfish was decent out at the ledge, but for the most part it benn Vermillion, Porgies and Triggers. Yesterday was quite a good day with a 50 lb Kingfish taken aboard the Sea Horse in front of the Tiara outside Palm Beach and a 10 lb Dolphin being dropped at the boat.Call Capt Lee at 254-5124 for reservations.

Bruce Book over at Grand Slam Jupiter says the bottom bite for his customers has been slow as well. He has heard of a couple incidental Dolphin and Sailfish being taken earlier in the week. The biggest news has been the Swordfish bite is starting with a Customer taken one at night time; and another Customer landing one off of a live bait on a kite! May sound unbelievable, however they do have a history of coming up to Sun themselves when the waters are colder than normal.

Chris over at Fishing Headquarters in Jupiter says the Pompano bite is still good at first and last light up the River in Jupiter between marker 44 and Stuart. Goofy Jigs are still working (only sold at Fishing Headquarters in the area). Its going to get a little quieter out at the Kingfish grounds as the Commercial Season ends tomorrow. Also, be aware that there is a new law going into effect shortly that will affect the Cobia fishery by reducing the catch rate from one per angler to one per boat.Check out the Fishing Headquarters weekly Fishing Broadcast every Saturday Morning at 8:00 Am for whats happening in the area now!

Capt Bill Taylor on the Black Dog out of Jupiter gave AskYourCaptain a real quick fish report right before the final Shuttle launch at 4:50PM ... Bottom fishing is still slow. Vermillion Snappers all over the place but can't keep them. Kingfish spotty at best. You can fish out of Jupiter on the Black Dog by calling 561-744-5700

Howard Tuttle on the Red Beard out of Jupiter inlet dropped AskYourCaptain a quick note saying right now they’re catching king fish right off the Jupiter Inlet and Banded Rudder fish with some cobias mixed in. The water is a little cold on the bottom so the snapper biting has been a little slow.  The ocean has been beautiful!!

The Red Beard is a drift boat operating out of the Jupiter Inlet with reservations to be scheduled calling Capt Howard Tuttle at 561-644-7668.
